What to fill in
- Identify the appliance and job reference in customer-visible fields.
- Explain whether a diagnostic fee is included in the repair charge.
Follow the job from diagnosis to repair
Identify the appliance type and model or job reference. If the first visit diagnosed the issue and a later visit fitted a part, describe those stages by date. This helps the customer distinguish an assessment from the completed repair.
Make the diagnostic fee treatment explicit
Some repair agreements include diagnosis in the completed repair fee; others price it separately. Follow your own agreement and show only the amount being billed. Count a replacement component separately when the quote separates supply from labour, using enough detail to identify the part.
Appliance repair invoice questions
How do I identify two appliances on one bill?
Give each appliance its own task rows and a useful model or job reference. This keeps a diagnostic fee or replacement part connected to the correct machine.
How do I avoid counting diagnosis twice?
State whether the repair fee includes diagnosis, then enter only the charges your customer agreed to.
Does this authorize a warranty claim?
No. Warranty approval and manufacturer claim documents need a separate process.
