Rates: 0–10,000, up to two decimals. Each line rounds half up to cents. No tax, discounts, shipping, deposits or payment balance calculations. Review inputs and totals.

A practical example
Fictional example. Replace the details and rates before use. CAD rates are illustrations, not price recommendations.
| Description | Quantity | Unit | Rate (CAD) |
|---|---|---|---|

| Additional revision round | 1 | round | 60 |
Illustrated subtotal: CAD 600.00. Before tax, discounts or shipping; not a deposit or payment balance.
What to fill in
- Describe deliverables and the period covered.
- State the agreed revision scope and payment terms in customer-visible notes.
- Project / PO reference
- DEMO-ARTICLES-001
- Service period
- 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-07
Name the version of the deliverable
An article, research brief or content package is easier to recognize when the description names its project and delivery stage. Distinguish a draft delivery from a final package if those are separately payable milestones; do not charge both for the same inclusive fee.
Make a mixed invoice easy to check
For a fixed deliverable, enter its count and agreed fee. For other work billed hourly, identify the task and the recorded hours. Keep a dated reference to any additional request so the client can connect the extra charge to the work they requested.

Freelance invoice questions
Can I invoice work for two client projects together?
Yes, if the client accepts a combined bill. Identify the project in each row and keep its quantities and fees distinct so both projects can be reconciled.
How do I show extra revision rounds?
Add a separate row for agreed extra rounds. State which revisions the original fee includes in the notes.
Can I track hours inside this tool?
No. Enter hours from your own records; there is no running timer or time approval workflow.
