What to fill in
- Name the deliverables and included revision scope.
- Distinguish design fees from any separately agreed third-party asset costs.
Name the design output, not just the time
Identify the campaign or design asset and what was delivered: a concept package, production artwork or an adaptation. Where a fee covers several outputs, list the included pieces in its description so the client can distinguish the package from an additional item.
Distinguish adaptations from revision rounds
A new format or language version may be a different deliverable from a revision to existing artwork. Use the agreed basis for each. Separately billed stock assets or printing costs should be distinguishable from the design fee, rather than appearing as unexplained additions.
Graphic design invoice questions
How do I show several sizes of the same design?
Name the sizes or formats in the package description when included. If adaptations are separately priced, list their count and agreed fee on an adaptation row.
How do I bill extra revisions?
Use a separate row for agreed additional rounds; the editor does not track revision approvals.
Where do source file terms go?
Summarize agreed delivery terms in notes. File transfer and intellectual property agreements happen separately.
