Rates: 0–10,000, up to two decimals. Each line rounds half up to cents. No tax, discounts, shipping, deposits or payment balance calculations. Review inputs and totals.

A practical example
Fictional example. Replace the details and rates before use. CAD rates are illustrations, not price recommendations.

| Additional implementation work - fictional example | 1 | hour | 0 |
What to fill in
- Describe completed scope and reference the project or milestone.
- List only agreed charges; do not imply hosting, subscriptions or automated renewals.
Describe a milestone in terms of delivered work
Name the feature, integration or release covered by the fee and connect it to the project reference. A client should recognize what was delivered without needing internal task codes alone. Distinguish implementation from separately agreed testing, migration or launch assistance.
Keep follow-up work separate from the original build
For extra development hours, describe the requested change and billing period. Ongoing support should state the covered tasks or period, rather than implying unlimited future changes. Do not add hosting or a domain renewal to a development invoice unless it is a charge you agreed to bill.
Web development invoice questions
How should I describe a maintenance fee?
State the covered period and tasks, such as agreed fixes or updates. Avoid an open-ended description that could be read as unlimited changes or an automatic renewal.
Can I show extra development hours?
Use a separate row with your recorded hours and the agreed rate.
Does this manage hosting renewals?
No. It does not provision hosting, manage subscriptions or automatically invoice renewals.
