Download an offline template
Blank business details, editable work items and no example prices. One offline layout, separate from the online Simple, Modern and Branded styles.
PDF is for printing, without fillable fields. Word tables are editable; neither format calculates totals. Excel: eight lines, CAD only. Quantities: 0–10,000, up to three decimals. Rates: 0–10,000, up to two decimals. Each line rounds half up to cents. No tax, discounts, shipping, deposits or payment balance calculations. Review inputs and totals.

A practical example
Fictional example. Replace the details and rates before use. CAD rates are illustrations, not price recommendations.
| Description | Quantity | Unit | Rate (CAD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Garden bed preparation — fictional courtyard | 6 | hour | 65 |
| Mulch supply | 8 | bag | 12 |
What to fill in
- Record the site reference and the work period.
- Separate materials from labour and clarify delivery charges.
Separate a garden project from its upkeep
A planting job might cover bed preparation, new plants and mulch. Later maintenance is a different scope. Describe the completed installation before adding any separately agreed care visits, so a customer can tell what this bill covers.
- For a homeowner, identify the bed, border or courtyard worked on.
- For a property manager, add the site or work-order reference used to approve the work.
- For seasonal work, name the task and period rather than billing an unexplained annual total.
Make quantities match the quote
Use measured area for area-priced work, counted units for supplied plants and recorded hours for hourly labour. Keep the same unit and scope as the accepted quote; a bag of mulch and an area of mulch installation describe different charges.
Only billing routine grass cutting? Start with the lawn mowing template.
Landscaping invoice questions
How do I show plants and labour separately?
Use separate rows with plant quantities and labour hours. Describe sizes or varieties in the item text.
Should a maintenance visit use this template or lawn mowing?
Use landscaping for mixed garden care, planting or broader grounds work. The lawn mowing template is a closer starting point when the bill is mainly for cutting and edging grass.
Does this track ongoing garden maintenance?
No. Record the dates covered on each invoice; the tool does not schedule recurring invoices.
Can I include delivery?
In the online editor, use Shipping for one untaxed delivery amount, or a clearly described line item when your agreed calculation needs it. Review the tax treatment yourself.
