PDF is for printing, without fillable fields. Word tables are editable; neither format calculates totals. Excel: eight lines, CAD only. Quantities: 0–10,000, up to three decimals. Rates: 0–10,000, up to two decimals. Each line rounds half up to cents. No tax, discounts, shipping, deposits or payment balance calculations. Review inputs and totals.

A practical example
Fictional example. Replace the details and rates before use. CAD rates are illustrations, not price recommendations.
| Description | Quantity | Unit | Rate (CAD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mowing and edging — fictional garden | 2 | visit | 45 |
| Green waste collection | 1 | load | 20 |
What to fill in
- Describe the serviced area and the dates of each visit.
- Keep mowing, edging and waste removal separate when priced separately.
Define the cut, not just the property
A lawn visit may cover the front lawn, rear lawn or both. Identify the areas actually cut and whether edging is included. For properties with different service scopes, separate the work so a customer can match each charge to the right lawn.
Keep the visit count separate from the area
If the agreement prices each visit, quantity means completed visits, not lawn size. If it prices area, enter the measured area and its matching rate. A missed or rescheduled cut should not silently remain in a billed visit count.
- Identify additional leaf collection or an initial overgrowth cut as a distinct task.
- State whether clippings were left on site or removed, where that affects the agreed scope.
Lawn mowing invoice questions
How do I bill several visits?
Use one row per visit date, or one row with the visit count and the covered dates in the description.
What if only part of the lawn was serviced?
Identify the area actually completed and bill on the agreed basis for that work. Do not use the full-property description for a partial visit.
Can I separate cleanup from mowing?
Yes. Give green waste removal its own row and unit, such as load, when it has an agreed separate charge.
