A practical example
Fictional example. Replace the details and rates before use. CAD rates are illustrations, not price recommendations.

| Agreed follow-up visit - fictional example | 1 | visit | 0 |
What to fill in
- Identify the treated area and the visit dates.
- Keep pesticide application records and required safety notices in the appropriate separate system.
Name the service rather than a promised result
Describe the inspection, treatment or monitoring visit and the area covered. A check with no additional treatment should be described as a check, not as another treatment application. Keep technical application records and safety instructions separate from the billing description.
Clarify what a follow-up covers
Identify whether the current charge is for an initial visit, an included return or a separately agreed follow-up. When billing a service period, summarize the visits actually covered and distinguish any additional work requested outside that scope.
Pest control invoice questions
How do I bill a monitoring-only visit?
Describe the inspection or monitoring performed and use its agreed visit fee. Do not describe it as a treatment application if no treatment was supplied.
Can I bill a follow-up separately?
Yes, if agreed. State its date and scope rather than implying it is included in the first visit.
Is this a pesticide application record?
No. It is an ordinary invoice without regulated application, licensing or safety record fields.
