Identify the fixture and the work performed
Name the fixture or affected area, such as the kitchen tap or upstairs drain, and distinguish an investigation from a completed repair. For a landlord or manager, connect it to the relevant property work order.
Explain a repair that needed a return visit
If diagnosis and installation happened on different dates, identify what was done on each visit and what the agreed charge includes. List separately supplied parts by useful description, and avoid billing another call-out where the agreed repair package already covers the return.

Can I bill drain clearing as a fixed job?
Yes. Describe the drain or area serviced, use a job unit with quantity one and enter the agreed fee. Add parts or extra time only when outside that job price.
How do I bill an emergency visit?
Add an agreed call-out charge as a separate line and explain whether any initial labour is included.
Does this certify the installation?
No. Inspection certificates, permits and warranty approvals require their own documents.
